Doctor Who, Peppa Pig Among LIMA Award Winners

LAS VEGAS: Hot Topic picked up the Retailer of the Year award for the BBC’s Doctor Who at last night’s 2016 LIMA International Licensing Awards, while Entertainment One’s Peppa Pig won for animated film/TV/entertainment licensed program.

LIMA’s annual awards program announced winners in 20 categories during Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. The night’s biggest winner was Disney Consumer Products for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which took home four trophies. These included best live-action film/TV/entertainment licensing product.

An award went to AMC and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid for a location-based or experiential initiative based on The Walking Dead. The Republic of Tea for Downton Abbey picked up the food/beverage licensed product award. Peter Alexander landed the win in the apparel/footwear/accessories category for Sesame Street sleepwear, outerwear and accessories.
