Distraction Acquires Distribution Rights for RDE Channels

LONDON, September 28: Distraction has acquired the
distribution rights for three of Ripe Digital Entertainment’s (RDE) branded
channels: Ripe TV, Octane TV and Flow TV.

RDE’s multiplatform channels offer free on-demand
programming that is available over cable, VOD, broadband and mobile, accessible
on more than 100 million television, computer and mobile screens. Distraction
will sell both formats and the content to all platforms beginning at MIPCOM.

Ripe TV is the company’s male-focused network, targeting the
18-to-34 demographic. It has achieved more views on the VOD platform than many
other major networks on cable VOD, and sees more than five million views a month
on broadband. The network’s programs include Stuff4Dudes, where a trio of women in lingerie get into shape
with Yoga and ball work; Sexy & Single, which profiles beautiful single women from around the world; and Hollywood
Burn
, an entertainment show which focuses
on pop culture and celebrity life.

Octane TV is targeted to the automotive fan. Its programming
offers street racing, motocross and auto stunts, including the show Drift
Scene
, which is an insider’s peek into
drifting, the fastest-growing motor sport scene in the world.

The third and most recently launched network from RDE is
Flow TV, which revamps hip-hop television to offer an authentic look at music,
culture and trends of the hip-hop nation. VIP Lounge is one of the network’s top shows, and introduces
lifestyles of rap and hip-hop artists with exclusive, behind-the-scenes
interviews.

Michel
Rodrigue, the CEO for Distraction, commented: “The opportunity to format
an actual multiplatform video network in the international arena is exciting.
We are paving new ground for both consumers and advertisers in the global
marketplace with Ripe’s patented Connective Advertising and innovative model of
programming ‘ADDTV’ which allows for entertainment anywhere, anytime for young
adults known for their limited attention spans.”
