Disney Gears Up for Global Rollout of Camp Rock

BURBANK, April 1:
Disney-ABC Television Group is gearing up for the multiplatform launch of the
new Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock, which is slated to premiere across cable,
broadcast and digital platforms worldwide, beginning on Friday, June 20, in the
U.S. and Canada.

Camp Rock will premiere in the U.S on Disney Channel, the
ABC Television Network (as part of the Wonderful World of Disney franchise), ABC Family, Radio Disney and
Disney.com in Disney XD on Friday, June 20, through Monday, June 23. Prior to
the movie’s on-air debut in the U.S., there will be an on-demand preview of Camp
Rock
on Tuesday, June 17, via
Disney Channel on Demand, a video-on-demand service available to Cablevision iO
Digital Cable, Time Warner and Verizon FiOS TV customers. The movie will also
debut on Family Channel Canada and on Quebec's VRAK.TV (dubbed in French) on
Friday, June 20.

Outside of North America, Camp
Rock
is slated to roll out on
Disney Channels Latin America in July. In August, the movie is expected to
launch on Disney Channel Japan, and in September, the movie will roll out on
Disney Channels India, Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan, the U.K., Spain,
Portugal, Germany, France, Italy, Australia and New Zealand. In October, the
movie will make its debut on Disney Channels Scandinavia, Australia and New
Zealand. Exact dates for the worldwide rollout have not been announced.

Walt Disney Records will
release the Camp Rock
soundtrack on Tuesday, June 17, while Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment
will roll out the DVD, featuring exclusive bonus features, around the world
beginning Tuesday, August 19.

Starring the
platinum-certified musical trio known as the Jonas Brothers (Joe, Kevin and
Nick) and singer/songwriter/actress Demi Lovato (of Disney Channel's As the
Bell Rings
), Camp Rock is the story of a talented yet unsure teen who
yearns to share her songs with the world, and a tempestuous young superstar
who's lost his passion for music and is sent packing by his band mates.
Together, at a camp for aspiring young music artists, they learn to believe in
themselves and to value the freedom to be who they really want to be.

Additional cast members
include Alyson Stoner (Cheaper by the Dozen), Meaghan Jette Martin, Anna Maria Perez de Taglé
(of Disney Channel's Hannah Montana),
Jasmine Richards (Naturally Sadie),
Maria Canals-Barrera, Daniel Fathers, Roshon Fegan, Jordan Francis and
screenwriter/actress Julie Brown.

The movie was written by
Regina Hicks, Karin Gist, Julie Brown and Paul Brown. The director is Matthew
Diamond and the cinematographer is Dean Cundey. Emmy-Award winner Alan Sacks is
the executive producer and Kevin Lafferty is the producer.
