Disney Channel U.K. Orders Second Season of Life Bites

LONDON: Prism Entertainment has been re-commissioned to produce a new season of the short-form comedy sketch show Life Bites, scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel in the U.K. in July.

Life Bites is a sketch show based around the everyday adventures of a brother and sister and their relationships with family and friends. Life Bites season two is comprised of 26 five-minute episodes, with each episode featuring a series of five or more sketches, which take on a variety of different themes including school, dating, sport and music.

Jonathan Boseley, the VP of programming for Disney Channels U.K. and Ireland, commented: “Over the past two years we’ve significantly increased our investment in locally produced shows and we’re delighted to be working with Prism Entertainment again on the second series of Life Bites. The first series has already proved a huge hit with viewers across the U.K. and we’re hoping to build on this with new cast members and even stronger comedic story lines and sketches.”

Amelia Johnson, the joint managing director of Prism Entertainment, added: “Life Bites is a great opportunity for Prism and Disney Channel to demonstrate their talent for delivering quality entertainment to British kids that truly reflects their lives. We’re thrilled to be commissioned for the returning series.”
