Disney-ABC International Television Inks French VOD Deal

PARIS, August 1: A variety of movies from Disney-ABC
International Television are now available on CANAL+ Group’s VOD platform
CanalPlay, including recent releases like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead
Man's Chest and 170 library titles.

The contract began in July and covers non-exclusive rights. The agreement
strengthens the existing partnership between Disney-ABC International
Television and the CANAL+ Group.

Beginning this summer, the CanalPlay platform offers a selection of
Disney’s 2006 and 2007 blockbusters, including Pirates of the Caribbean:
Dead Man's Chest, Déjà Vu and Wild Hogs. A wide
range of movies from production companies such as Walt Disney Pictures and
Touchstone Pictures will also be available on CanalPlay, including Armageddon and Pearl
Harbor, family classics such as Herbie Goes Bananas and more.
M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village and Signs are also
included in the agreement.

CanalPlay is available online and
on linear television via Free, a French DSL operator. Launched in October 2005,
the platform features more than 3,000 videos.
