Discovery in Blockbuster Deal

SILVER SPRING, June 24: A
host of content from Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC and other Discovery
Communications-owned networks will be available on DVD at more than 2,500
Blockbuster stores across the U.S., the two companies announced today.

Blockbuster will carry
more than three dozen retail titles from Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet,
Discovery Kids and The Military Channel. Offerings include Man vs. Wild, Dirty Jobs, Meerkat Manor, Best
of Little People Big World
, Wings, Battlefield Diaries and Shark Week. Participating outlets will host Discovery-branded
displays for the DVDs, and Blockbuster will feature Discovery trailers and
content on its in-store television network.

"Our agreement with
Blockbuster will be a boon for customers who want greater access to the
Discovery networks' award-winning and popular programs and series," said
Patrick Gates, the president and general manager of Discovery Commerce, which
includes Discovery's home-video division. "We're now making all the great
content on the Discovery Channel as close the neighborhood Blockbuster
store."

the director of retail film at Blockbuster.
