NEW YORK: A+E Networks has elevated Akhila Khanna to director of international digital media and business development.

Khanna will continue to handle digital content sales to VOD and OTT platforms outside of the U.S. As part of her expanded role, she will also analyze and execute digital business development projects worldwide, while supporting A+E Networks' efforts to create revenue-generating collaborations with other global media and technology companies. In addition, Khanna will oversee new channel launches and support the management of channels in Europe and the Middle East. She works out of London under Kate Gutman, the company's VP of international strategy and digital media.

Khanna first joined A+E Networks in 2009 as digital media coordinator in New York before being transferred to the London office the following year. Earlier in her career, she was a feature segment producer at CNBC-TV18 in Mumbai. She also worked in the studio development department at NBCUniversal in Burbank.

"We're thrilled to be expanding Akhila's role in our international digital and business development team," said Gutman. "She brings a wealth of expertise and forward-thinking ingenuity to the business, and will help us further grow our global digital presence and strategic partnerships."
