Digital Distribution Focus for Day Two of MIPCOM

PARIS/CANNES, October 3: Digital distribution will be the
key topic of discussion during the panels and speeches on the second day of
MIPCOM, with keynotes by MGM’s Harry Sloan and 2929’s Todd Wagner, along with a
Superpanel featuring executives from ProSiebenSat.1 Media, BitTorrent and
Granada International, among others.

Tuesday, October 10 kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with Ben
Silverman, the CEO of Reveille, being interviewed by Roma Khanna, the SVP of
content at CHUM Television, as part of the Breakfast with Gurus daily sessions.

Todd Wagner, the CEO of 2929 Entertainment, will deliver his
keynote, Digital Distribution TV & Film—Rethinking Hollywood, at 10
a.m. in Auditorium Esterel. Immediately following Wagner’s session, at 11 a.m.,
will be the first of two Superpanels for the day: The Strategic Impact on
Existing Business and Release Windows and New Opportunities for Film and TV.
Panelists are Martin Blakstad, the head of new media at Granada International;
Simon Calver, the CEO of LOVEFiLM International in the U.K.; Marcus Englert,
the MD of SevenOne Intermedia in Germany; Ashwin Navin, president and
co-founder of BitTorrent Inc.; and Rick Sands, the COO of MGM.

The afternoon schedule begins at 2:45 p.m. with one session
on digital rights and content security and another on next-generation,
cross-platform marketing and branding for entertainment content.

The second Superpanel of the day takes place at 3:45 p.m. in
Auditorium Esterel. Exploring the broadband consumer experience, the panel will
feature Kathrin Brunner, the MD of in2movies in Germany; Leslie Golding,
co-founder and CMO of Acetrax in the U.K.; Roma Khanna, SVP of content at CHUM
Television; and Patrick Walker, the head of content partnerships for EMEA at
Google Inc.

The conference schedule wraps with the Transforming MGM into
a 21st Century Media Company keynote at 5:15 p.m., where Variety’s
Elizabeth Guider will interview MGM’s chairman and CEO, Harry Sloan.
