DIC Launches Kids’ Online Cartoon Channel

BURBANK, February 12: DIC Entertainment (DIC) has launched
the first online video channel dedicated to new and classic cartoons for
families and children, featuring more than 300 streaming videos from some 25
programs within the company’s library.

kewlcartoons.com features 24/7 on-demand channels of free
streaming animated series from DIC’s library of more than 3,000 half hours of
programming, including Dino Squad, Inspector Gadget, The Littles, Liberty’s
Kids
, Cake and more. The community will also feature imkewl
chat, games and more. Users can also navigate through other DIC property sites,
including kewlopolis.com, DinoSquad.com, Horseland.com, MommyAndMe.com,
Trollz.com, kewlmag.com and dicentertainment.com.

Additionally, DIC has named former Intermix Media executive
Frederic Soulie as its new head of interactive. Soulie joined DIC as the senior
director of corporate and strategic planning, coming from a role as the manager
of strategic planning at Intermix Media, the parent company of MySpace. Soulie
will report to Jeffrey Edell, the president and COO of DIC, who also served a
stint at Intermix Media as the company’s chairman.
