DECODE to Showcase New Titles at MIPTV

TORONTO, March 21: DECODE
Enterprises heads to MIPTV with a diverse crop of new kids’ programming,
including the new animated preschool-targeted series Animal Mechanicals.

Produced for CBC in Canada
by Halifax Film, a subsidiary of DECODE’s parent company DHX Media, the
40×11-minute Animal Mechanicals
is an action-adventure series that combines fantastical worlds, mythical
animals and cool quests. Mighty Jungle, another preschool series from Halifax Film, will also make its debut
at MIPTV. Commissioned by the CBC, Mighty Jungle uses puppet animals and is set in a world deep in
the mighty jungle, through leafy vines and under a canopy of chattering birds.

Other offerings from
DECODE at the market include the series Kid vs. Kat, which is being co-produced
by Jetix Europe with Studio B Productions and YTV in Canada. It follows the exaggerated
conflict between a demonically malevolent cat and the beleaguered 10-year-old
boy against whom it has a demented dislike. DECODE Enterprises has worldwide distribution rights to
the series outside Europe and the Middle East. Additional titles on the slate
are the kids’ factual entertainment series Adrenaline Project,
from Toronto-based marblemedia, alongside Super Why!, a series already airing on PBS in the U.S. Super
Why!
, a co-venture between DECODE
Entertainment and Out of the Blue Enterprises, the creators of Blue’s Clues, aims to help children learn to read through
interactive fairytale adventures.

Rounding out DECODE’s
MIPTV lineup are the live-action series My Spy Family, centered on a family of family ex-spies, and the
second season of the tween-targeted The Latest Buzz.
