CW Forays into Original Summer Schedule

BURBANK: The CW has added two new original series to its summer schedule: the relationship show Hitched or Ditched and the Washington D.C.-based reality series Blonde Charity Mafia.

“We’re very excited to be launching original programming during the summer months for the first time,” said Dawn Ostroff, the president of entertainment at The CW. “We want to keep this season’s momentum going by freshening our schedule with two new reality shows with fun, relatable concepts aimed squarely at our young female demo.”

Hitched or Ditched, launching May 26 at 9 p.m., is a six-episode reality show about couples who have been dating for long periods of time who must decide if they want to get married. Blonde Charity Mafia, premiering for its six-episode run July 7, focuses on the women of BCM, who dominate the D.C. social circuit.
