Cuppa Coffee Studios Targets Teen Set at MIPTV

TORONTO, April 9: Aiming to expand beyond the success of
preschool properties such as Bruno & The Banana Bunch, Cuppa Coffee Studios heads to MIPTV with two new
13×22-minute stop-motion comedies targeted at the teens and older market: Nerdland and Life’s a Zoo.

Nerdland is a teen
slacker stop-motion comedy that draws on fantasy and satire to focus on the
twisted misadventures of a group of pop-culture obsessed nerds as they try to
survive in a decidedly nerd-unfriendly society. Life’s a Zoo is a stop-motion animated reality show that skewers
the reality television genre. It features a cast of animals involved in forging
alliances and backstabbing in a desperate bid to become “top of the food
chain.”

“It’s time to broaden our horizons and bring the unique
Cuppa aesthetic to a more mature audience,” explained Adam Shaheen, the
president of Cuppa Coffee Studios. “Nerdland and Life’s a Zoo, with
their edgy humor and irreverent style are two unique stop-motion properties
that do exactly that!”
