CPLG Canada Adds Three New Properties

TORONTO: The World of Eric Carle, Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight and (Not So) Scary Monsters are joining the portfolio of CPLG Canada, which has signed new licensees for the It’s Happy Bunny and Caillou properties.

CPLG Canada will create a full-scale licensing program for The World of Eric Carle, with key categories such as apparel and accessories, electronics and online, publishing, stationery and party goods and seasonal, toys and games and HBA products. CPLG Canada will secure licensing deals, focusing on TV, DVDs and merchandise, for Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight. Bandai is the master toy licensee and interactive partner for the property. Namco-Bandai is the video game licensee. For (Not So) Scary Monsters, CPLG Canada will look to secure licensees in a wide range of categories, including plush, games and puzzles, publishing and preschool apparel to kick off the brand’s licensing program in Canada. 

Imports Dragon has been appointed by CPLG Canada as the master toy licensee for Cookie Jar’s Caillou. New Caillou toys will be available starting in 2010. CPLG Canada has also secured a deal with C&D Visionary to make air fresheners, buttons, button sets, shoelaces, lanyards, patches, wristbands, incense, key chains, stickers and magnets and magnet sets for It’s Happy Bunny. Trends International will produce posters, calendars, journals, stickers, tattoos, bookmarks and transfers. All products will be available at major retail outlets across Canada in 2010.
