Court TV Unveils Rebranding Initiative

NEW YORK, October 30: On November 1, Turner Entertainment
Networks’ Court TV will begin its rebranding campaign, leading up to the
January 1, 2008, relaunch as truTV, which will feature an expanded lineup of
original series and the new tagline “Not Reality. Actuality.”

truTV aims to be a destination for programming featuring
real situations, real stakes and real people, told from a first-person
perspective. The channel will also continue to air trial coverage every
weekday, beginning at 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. During the afternoon and prime-time
hours, truTV will feature real-life original series. These include, Sky
Racers
, following news helicopter pilots in
Los Angeles, and One False Move,
focused on people whose jobs and adventures take them to the brink of disaster.
Sky Racers
and One False Move join a previously announced slate in production or
development that includes The Real Hustle, premiering January 22, centered on an elite team of experts that can
steal a person's money, possessions and even identity; Neighbors 911, a new series from Granada America and executive
producer Curt Northrup (Nanny 911)
in which former Green Beret Myke Hawke goes into the homes of people whose
feuding has escalated into all-out conflict; Ski Patrol (working title), from Bunim/Murray Productions, an
up-close and personal look at the men and women who work in some of the most
extreme environments in the country and Black Gold (working title), following "wildcatters" in
Texas, where oil prospectors race one another to tap into the last remaining
U.S. reserves. In addition, popular series like Forensic Files, Haunting Evidence and Psychic Detectives will return to the network. Over time, truTV's
lineup will grow to include an even broader schedule of original offerings.

"We're preparing to make this already solid network
even stronger," said Marc Juris, the general manager of Court TV.
"Renaming is just part of the process of building truTV into a powerful
brand."
