Cosgrove Hall Films Restructures Team

MANCHESTER, January 22: British animation outfit Cosgrove
Hall Films has made several changes to its operational structure, including the
creation of two new posts.

Laura Duncalf has been promoted from her role as the
company’s production manager to the newly created post of head of production.
She will take on responsibility for all of Cosgrove Hall’s production activity
and will report to Anthony Utley, the managing director.

The company has also created the post of research and
development assistant, charged with supporting the senior team, and is
currently recruiting for that position.

Alongside Duncalf and Utley in managing roles are Franc
Vose, the creative director, and Lee Marriott, the financial and commercial
director.

Utley commented: “We’re thrilled to promote Laura to the new
post of head of production. Laura has a strong track record in ensuring world
class programming delivers on time and on budget, and we will be relying on her
expertise as we increase our the number of our own shows in production as well
as continue our important studio for hire work. We recognize that as the U.K.
animation industry faces increasingly competitive and challenging market conditions,
Cosgrove Hall has to be certain its structure is sufficiently robust and
prepared to face these challenges. We believe that by streamlining our
business, Cosgrove Hall is well positioned to further capitalize on its
position as a leading global animation studio, producing both third party and
our own intellectual properties.”
