TORONTO: New programming on offer from Cookie Jar Entertainment includes Kung Fu Dino Posse, Doodlebops Rockin’ Road Show and Peter Pepper’s Pet Spectacular, while returning series to the slate are Arthur, Johnny Test, Caillou and Magi-Nation, among others.

Kung Fu Dino Posse, co-produced by Cookie Jar and Sunwoo, features a prehistoric battle between good and evil. In Doodlebops Rockin’ Road Show, the live-action characters get animated for 52 11-minute episodes. The series is an international co-production with Illusion Studios and OPTIX Entertainment. Cookie Jar teamed up with Clockwork Zoo of South Africa for Peter Pepper’s Pet Spectacular. The animated show for preschoolers incorporates the performing arts.

The production slate also features new seasons of Arthur, now in its 14th season; Johnny Test, in its fourth season; Caillou, in its fifth season; and Magi-Nation.

Cookie Jar is also looking for programming for its weekend programming block Cookie Jar TV, which airs on network TV in the U.S., and for THIS TV, MGM and Weigel Broadcasting Company’s 24-hour linear digital channel. Cookie Jar is looking for tween-targeted, educational informative programming, open to all formats, including animation, live action, reality and game shows. Programming should be aimed at the 9-to-14 demographic.

The company will further be featuring a range of shows currently in development for the Cookie Jar-controlled programming blocks as well as networks throughout the U.S. and Canada. For tweens, Mudpit is a live-action/animated hybrid. Abra Ca Debra is a live-action tween comedy, with Zenda falls in the fantasy genre. In development for the younger set is Ella the Elephant. Furry Tales and Half-Giraffe round out the offerings.
