Cookie Jar Entertainment Licenses New Animated Series to CBC

TORONTO, April 2: Cookie
Jar Entertainment has licensed 26 half-hour episodes of its newest animated
series, the Busytown Mysteries (Hurray For Huckle!) to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) for
the Kids’ CBC preschool
programming block.

The series, which is based
on the classic works of renowned children’s author and illustrator Richard
Scarry, revolves around a cast of six characters named Huckle Cat, Lowly Worm, Sally Cat, and Hilda Hippo,
among others, who try to solve everyday life mysteries in Busytown. More than 150 million books by Richard Scarry have
been sold worldwide and translated into 30 languages.
