COO Appointed at Telemundo

MIAMI, April 8: Jacqueline
Hernandez has been appointed the COO of NBC Universal-owned Hispanic
broadcaster Telemundo Communications Group, based in New York.

In the newly created
position, Hernandez assumes responsibility for leading and unifying all sales,
marketing and domestic growth platforms for the consolidated Telemundo network
and stations group. Her mission will be to bridge all Telemundo offerings to
domestic advertising clients and enhance the company’s connection with its
audience. This includes digital media and emerging platforms, mun2, Telemundo’s
Latino-youth cable network, as well as all research functions. Hernandez will
partner closely with Telemundo’s programming, studio and news and sports
leaders to strategically grow the company’s market share.

She arrives at the company
with more than 20 years of experience in print, television and online media.
She most recently served as the publisher of People en Español.

extensive knowledge of the Hispanic market, her experience in multimedia
platforms and her outstanding reputation in the industry will be important
