Content Sells Awards Shows into Australia

CANNES: Content Television has signed up Australia’s Movie Network Channels for the Orange British Academy Film Awards and the BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards. 

Movie Network Channels will air both awards ceremonies on its Starpics Channel. The Orange British Academy Film Awards will air in February 2012. The Los Angeles-based Britannia Awards will air in December 2011. The Orange British Academy Film Awards celebrate cinema’s leading acting, directing, producing, technical and writing talent. The BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards is a red-carpet event which honors the biggest names in the entertainment industry for their contribution to film or television. 

Saralo MacGregor, the executive VP of worldwide distribution at Content Television, commented, “We are delighted to see these high-profile television specials heading to Movie Network. Both awards ceremonies attract the cream of internationally renowned cinematic talent, so we are confident they will be a huge success with viewers in Australia.”
