Compact to Open U.S. Office

LONDON: The rights-management company Compact is to open a new office in Los Angeles, which will be headed-up by Reny Montesinos as executive director.

The new office will focus on business development, while administration will continue to be handled at Compact’s London headquarters. Compact also has offices in Amsterdam, Sydney and Paris. Montesinos was formerly head of a similar service at  IFTA Collections.

John O’Sullivan, the CEO of Compact, said: "Compact is flourishing during the economic crisis. Not only have we benefited from the weak euro, but as budgets tighten, more broadcasters are looking to libraries and back-catalogues, which creates more business for us. We’ve already got coverage across the U.K., U.S., Canada and Australia, which internationally are the most important sources of non-local content. We’re looking forward to growing our U.S. client base even further with the opening of our new office, and Reny’s eight years of experience in the industry will be a major asset in this."

Montesinos added: "I am delighted to join the Compact team and work alongside John in building a strong presence for Compact in the U.S."
