CNBC to Broadcast British Version of The Apprentice

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, August
11: The Apprentice UK, where
contestants battle for the chance to work for self-made millionaire Sir Alan
Sugar, will air Mondays on CNBC in the U.S. starting this month.

The 16 aspiring tycoons
compete in 12 weeks of challenges for a six-figure job with Sugar. Season four
recently aired on BBC One, with a new season premiering in 2009. Mark Burnett
Productions and talkbackTHAMES produce the format based on the American series,
which features Donald Trump.

The show will air from
August 25 to November 10 at 9 p.m. and 1 a.m., with the exception of Labor Day
when it will air at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Each episode will repeat the following
Saturday at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. starting August 30. Conversations with
Michael Eisner
, which was
originally scheduled for August 25, will now air at 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. on August
29.
