Classic Media Names Digital Media VP

NEW YORK, July 19: Classic Media has named Andrew Perlman as
VP of digital media to manage the mobile and online content distribution
strategy for the company’s 3,000-plus titles.

Perlman reports to Classic Media’s CEO, Eric Ellenbogen. He
will manage strategic partnerships with Google, Sprint and MobiTV, among other
online and mobile platforms, oversee the development of branded content portals
based on Classic’s popular characters, exploit its music assets, and work
directly with Classic’s production department to create content for the digital
space.

Prior to joining Classic, Perlman worked as a consultant for
the company in its launch with Google Video and MobiTV. He was the GM at Rights
Group for four years where he oversaw the development of mobile marketing
campaigns for Visa and Pepsi and managed branded mobile product for Justin
Timberlake and American Idol.
