CITV Commissions Second Season of Horrid Henry

OXFORD, March 7: CITV has
commissioned Novel Entertainment to produce an additional 52, 11-minute
episodes of its hit animated series Horrid Henry, to broadcast on ITV1 and CITV in spring 2009.

The new season of the 2-D
animated series, produced by Lucinda Whiteley and Mike Watts at Novel Entertainment,
watches Henry get into more mischief and adventures as he unmasks an
international stamp thief, saves the world from an alien invasion and tries to
set a new world record.

A total of 104 episodes
will now be available internationally through Little Bird Rights, who recently
won the rights to distribute the show worldwide, excluding the U.K. The show
has most recently sold to Disney Channel in France, with sales also brokered
with ZDF in Germany, RTE in Ireland, RUV in Iceland, SVT in Sweden, NRK in
Norway and YLE in Finland. Deals are also currently being negotiated for South
Africa, Turkey and Portugal.

Mike Watts, the managing
director of Novel Entertainment, said: "Horrid Henry’s popularity is going from strength to strength
and we are thrilled that CITV has committed to a further series enabling us to
animate more of his adventures."
