CIMG Expands Rollout for The Style Network, Scores Sales in Asia Pac

CANNES, April 7: Comcast International Media Group
(CIMG) is launching The Style Network in a range of new countries, adding some
2 million additional subscribers to its roster, and has licensed more than 900
hours of programming in Asia Pacific.

Recent and upcoming launches for The
Style Network are on MultiChoice Africa, KPN in the Netherlands, Showtime
Arabia in the Middle East, Portugal’s PT Telekom, Vectra in Poland, T-Com in
Croatia and Malta’s Melitacable.

Additionally, CIMG has secured a raft
of deals for the final quarter of 2007 and first quarter of 2008 in the
Asia-Pacific region. Australia's Premier Media Group licensed G4’s ATOS, The Block, Filter and X-Play for Fuel TV, while Network Ten picked up
E!’s Forbes Top 15 Supermodels, Forbes 20 Billionaire Heiresses and Forbes Young
Hollywood
. Discovery Travel & Living snapped up seasons one and two of
The Style Network’s Try My Life and Married Away for its India
sub-continent feed, and New Zealand’s TVWorks acquired the first four seasons
of Girls of the Playboy Mansion for its C4 channel. Further deals were inked
with Hong Kong’s i-Cable Entertainment, which picked up TV One’s Turn Up the
Heat with G. Garvin
, and Happy Movie Media in China, which licensed E!’s Behind
the Scenes
for CCTV. CIMG also scored its first deal in Cambodia with the
Cambodian Broadcasting System taking on Style Star for its CTN channel.

In renewals, Movie Plus in Japan
re-upped its deal for Life from the Red Carpet: The 2008 Academy Awards coverage, Behind
the Scenes
, 101 Favorite Stars Way Back When and The E! True
Hollywood Story
, while Korea’s On Style gave another order for E! News Weekend.
