What are some of your top properties for MIPTV?
My Life Me: Produced by Canadian-based, CarpeDiem Film & TV and French-based ODM, My Life Me (52×11) is a fast-paced and visually inventive animated comedy aimed at kids aged 8-12, which is based around four lead characters trying to make sense of tween life. In addition to witty scripts, comic situations and the outrageous foibles of the four protagonists, My Life Me also offers a unique animation style inspired by manga aesthetics. The show is supported by a strong online component offering interactive games, clips and animation tutorials. The brand new series will be fully delivered Spring 2010 alongside 26 original shorts, 9 bloopers and 4 music video clips perfect for multi-platform opportunities including mobile and VoD. Co-production partners Teletoon Canada inc (Canada) and FranceTelevisions and Canal J (France) will each launch the series in 2010.
Tracy Beaker: Adding to Classic Media’s extensive Tracy Beaker portfolio is brand new series Tracy Beaker Returns (13×30) – currently airing on CBBC (UK). Based on the popular novel ‘The Story of Tracy Beaker’ by Jacqueline Wilson, which has sold over over 20m copies in the UK alone, this new series aimed at girls aged 8-12 sees Tracy Beaker back at the Dumping Ground, but now she’s a young adult working there – with varying levels of success. Tracy Beaker Returns is a comedy drama with heart.
Tinga Tinga Tales: You may think you know the reason why Elephant has a long trunk, or why Tortoise has a broken shell… but as brand new preschool series Tinga Tinga Tales reveals – the reason for each is a whole other story!… From the producer of the multi award-winning Charlie and Lola, Tiger Aspect’s Claudia Lloyd, this vibrant, new animated series (52×11), for children aged 3-6 years, brings to life the traditional art of storytelling with tall tales of how all your favourite animals came to be the way they are today. Inspired by traditional African animal folktales and the art of Tanzania, Tinga Tinga Tales opens up a fantastical world of colour, characters and transformation. Tinga Tinga Tales made its UK Broadcast debut on CBeebies in February 2010 and is set for a US premiere on Playhouse Disney in early 2011.
Nan & Lili: Designed to educate and entertain pre-schoolers, Nan & Lili (200×3) is a brand new animated series that encourages learning at home as well as exploration and discovery of the surrounding world. Nan and Lili are two cute and funny characters who like all young children, enjoy exploring the world around them and playing with their friends. Though they sometimes misbehave, they are always there to help each other get out of trouble! Along with their friends Badi and Hella, the characters are often joined by a range of animals including camels, sheep, goats and elephants as they play and learn together. Created for a global audience in novel 3D animation, Nan & Lili opens up a world of discovery for pre-school girls and boys.
OOglies: When the humans are away the OOglies play! Experience slapstick comedy at its best as the OOglies – an eccentric ensemble of household pranksters – embark on a series of adventures that will find them slipping, sliding and splatting onto TV screens. A hilarious stop-motion animated sketch-show for 3 – 93 year olds, OOglies will have you wincing at the screen as the intrepid boggle-eyed stars crash, bang and wallop themselves around the OOglies house! (26×15) Warning: This show contains extreme silliness!
