CBS Sports Digital has acquired BoxingScene, an online destination for boxing news and information.

BoxingScene will become part of CBS Sports Digital’s multiplatform offerings, which include CBS Sports HQ, CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports apps for mobile and connected TV devices, as well as 247Sports, MaxPreps, CBS Sports fantasy games, SportsLine and the SportsLive OTT service. BoxingScene will continue under the management of its founder and editor-in-chief, Rick Reeno.

“We’re pleased to add BoxingScene to the CBS Sports Digital family,” said Jeffrey Gerttula, executive VP and general manager of CBS Sports Digital. “BoxingScene’s in-depth boxing coverage reaches a young, loyal and diverse audience, and the site is complementary to our wide range of content offerings that also reach these engaged and passionate sports fans.”

“With vast resources and expertise, CBS Sports Digital will help develop our site to better serve our users,” said Reeno. “I am proud to remain at the helm of BoxingScene, where we will remain true to our mission, which is to provide up-to-the-minute, accurate and exciting news from every corner of the boxing world.”
