Cartoon Network Preps New Ben 10 Movie

ATLANTA, July 22: Alex
Winter is returning to Cartoon Network to direct and executive-produce the
latest live-action film in the Ben 10 franchise, with screenwriter John Turman on board to pen the script.

Based on the animated
series Ben 10: Alien Force, the
live-action/CGI movie is currently in preproduction, with casting and
development in the works at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, California.
Winter directed Cartoon Network’s first Ben 10 live-action movie, Ben 10: Race Against Time, which scored more than 13 million viewers during
its Thanksgiving weekend premiere in 2007.

"The success of Ben
10
is a testament to powerful
storytelling and our multi-format approach to the brand," said Rob
Sorcher, the chief content officer for Cartoon Network. "With Alex Winter
at the helm and John Turman writing, we'll deliver a visually brilliant film
that takes this winning franchise to an exciting new level."

"The last movie was
enormous fun to make," commented Winter. "We were all very happy with
its success and look forward to making an even bigger and better one this time
around."
