Cartoon Network Commissions Third Season of Skatoony

LONDON,
September 27: Cartoon Network in the U.K. has picked up a third season of Skatoony, an animated game show
that pits real life contestants against cartoon characters.

Skatoony
is
hosted by popular animated characters Chudd Chudders and The Earl, and each
week real life kids compete against cartoon contestants in four rounds of fun
game-show challenges. The final contestants will take everything in an against-the-clock
challenge.

The
13×30-minute series will be animated in-house by Cartoon Network in London. The
series first aired on Cartoon Network in November 2006, and season two was
produced earlier this year to air on the network beginning September 28.

Annie
Miles, the director of talent kids at Cartoon Network, said: “Skatoony has proved to be a
breakthrough project and we are delighted to be working with Cartoon Network on
both the brand new episodes for the U.K. and also upcoming international versions.
It’s a fun show which can be enjoyed by kids worldwide.”
