Camp Rock Breaks Records for Disney Online

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, June 26:
Disney.com reached record traffic levels with the online streaming of the new
Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock, which attracted 863,000 video plays during the one-day event.

The online streaming,
which began at 5 p.m. on June 23 and ended at 11:59 p.m. on June 24, increased
traffic to Disney.com by 37 percent compared to the previous day. Unique
visitor traffic overall to Disney.com XD on June 23 was 953,592, more than
twice the previous one-day record of 465,421. Meanwhile, Camp Rock websites scored 1.9 million visitors and 10
million page views during the entire event as well.

Camp Rock’s online success follows the movie’s weekend
premiere, which delivered 24.5 million total television viewers across the U.S.
and Canada, reaching 6 million kids 6 to 11 and more than 6.1 million tweens 9
to 14. Disney Channel’s debut of Camp Rock ranks as cable’s number one entertainment telecast
of the 2007/08 season, with 8.9 million total viewers. On ABC, the movie was the
number one summer Saturday entertainment telecast on any broadcast network in
nearly six years, and is ABC Family’s number one movie broadcast ever among
kids 6 to 11 and tweens 9 to 14.

“This is one of those
inflection points for online entertainment at Disney.com and really shows the
power of marrying great content with a great online experience,” said Paul
Yanover, the executive VP and managing director of Disney Online. “Disney
Channel has created another sensation with Camp Rock and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to
feature it again on Disney.com.”
