AMSTERDAM: James Cameron and Vince Pace’s Cameron Pace Group is providing a never-before-seen glimpse of footage from the as-yet-untitled Cirque du Soleil 3D motion picture at IBC, where the content producer also announced a new alliance with Evergreen Films.

A sneak peek of the yet-to-be-named Cirque du Soleil 3D movie will be presented today in the IBC Big Screen. “We combined all of the newest technology innovation for this production. The footage is spectacular,” said Vince Pace, co-chairman of Cameron Pace Group. “CPG delivered SLATE2 services, including 23 FUSION 3D systems and a new underwater FUSION 3D system, FUSION H2O/20.”

The event will begin with a "3D Myth Busters: James Cameron and Vince Pace on the 3D Revolution" presentation that will take audiences through the myths and facts associated with 3D. In addition, audiences will catch exclusive never-before-seen glimpses of footage from a yet-to-be-named 3D motion picture experience featuring the unique creative universe of Cirque du Soleil shows: the result of a partnership between James Cameron, Andrew Adamson and Cirque du Soleil.

“CPG’s advances in 3D production are helping to deliver a new breed of fully immersive 3D feature films and live 3D event broadcasts,” said Michael V. Lewis, the chairman and CEO of RealD. “Innovation is a key to delivering on the promise of 3D and audiences are going to be awed when they see CPG’s technology at work in this exclusive look at Cirque Du Soleil footage in RealD 3D.”

“We are proud to be part of this presentation featuring the most cutting edge technology in the 3D and production field. Working alongside a prestigious industry leader such as Cameron Pace Group is a testimonial of Christie’s commitment to provide the most advanced equipment to the industry,” said Dale Miller, the VP of Christie EMEA.

Also at IBC, Cameron Pace Group announced Alaska-based Evergreen Films as the first studio to be "CPG Certified." Evergreen will be relying exclusively on CPG technologies, production methodologies and production services for the creation of 3D content. This includes BBC Earth, Evergreen and Walking the Dinosaurs 3D and extends through Evergreen’s slate of upcoming films.

Pace said: "Evergreen is focused on how 3D can be used to enhance the creative process, delighting audiences worldwide with a greater sense of visual intimacy, engagement, and immersion than possible previously. Under the leadership of Mike Devlin, Evergreen understands the important role of rigorous technology, and proven standards and practices, in meeting audience demand for high quality 3D."

Evergreen’s Devlin added: "Evergreen takes a Silicon Valley approach to ‘best of breed’ technologies and partners. Cameron Pace is indisputably the best in the world at what it does. We couldn’t be prouder to build our business on the highest quality standards that being CPG Certified represents."
