CABLEready Bolsters MIPCOM Slate

NORWALK, October 2: CABLEready has taken on the rights to
several new factual titles in advance of MIPCOM, including Fired!, with actress Annabelle Gurwitch in a light-hearted
look at the realities of celebrity careers and the Hollywood scene.

CABLEready has also taken on The Hunt For Zarqawi, a look at the life of the notorious terrorist
mastermind Abu Musab Zarqawi; and Suicide Killers, which examines the psychopathology of suicide
bombers.

In a deal with Hearst-Argyle Television, CABLEready is
highlighting two titles about New Orleans. Seven Days That Changed New
Orleans
, narrated by NBC journalist Chris
Matthews, tells the story of local Hearst-Argyle television station WDSU-TV as
it struggled to stay on the air to provide news coverage to New Orleans
residents as Hurricane Katrina swept through the city last year. Song
For New Orleans
, narrated by Emmy
award-winning actor Andre Braugher and featuring appearances by musicians Harry
Connick, Jr., Wynton Marsalis and Charmaine Neville, profiles these and other
musicians’ return to the city, post Katrina.

“Throughout the world, viewers continue to seek out
programming that teaches them more about the people and events that shape our
societies,” said Gary Lico, the president and CEO of CABLEready. “As these
issues and perspectives resonate with viewers around the world, we look forward
to our most successful MIPCOM ever. We're proud that our very first program
supplier, Hearst-Argyle, is back with us; pleased to be doing more with City
Lights, and delighted to be working with Annabelle. Add that to the Lionsgate
and The Weather Channel programs and our existing catalog—over 60 new
shows, 150 programs and series, nearly 1400 episodes.”
