C4i in Development Deal with Hardcash

LONDON, August 21: Digital Rights Group-owned C4i has signed
a one-year development deal with Hardcash Productions, building on the
companies existing relationship that resulted in documentaries such as Iraq:
The Lost Generation
.

The deal sees C4i working closely with the U.K. production
outfit to develop projects that appeal to an international market from a
specifically allocated fund. The programs produced under the deal will be
distributed worldwide by C4i.

Niki Page, the acquisitions manager at C4i, who brokered the
deal, commented, “This is a landmark deal for C4i, underlining our commitment
to bringing the best in topical and thought-provoking current-affairs
programming to a worldwide audience. In combining our experience of the
international marketplace with Hardcash Productions world-renowned expertise in
producing exemplary and relevant programming, we are confident that this joint
venture will result in huge successes for both companies.”

David Henshaw, the managing director at Hardcash
Productions, added, “For a company our size, it’s a huge advantage to be
working with a distributor with such a strong network of contacts right across
the broadcasting world. In an increasingly tough and fragmented market, C4i
have shown a sure touch in selling our films to both the big players and the
small.”
