BVITV Secures British Cable Slot for New ABC Drama

CANNES, October 12: The new series Day Break, slated for a November 15 launch on ABC in the U.S.,
has been picked up by Flextech’s Bravo channel in the U.K.

The show, distributed by Buena Vista International
Television, will lead Bravo’s spring schedule, as part of the cable network’s
efforts to ramp up its drama offerings for men aged 16 to 44.

Day Break is in the
tradition of Groundhog Day,
following a repeating hellish day in the life of Detective Brett Hopper, who is
accused of shooting a state attorney. The cast includes Taye Diggs and Moon
Bloodgood and was created by Paul Zbyszewski (After the Sunset.)

Bravo’s director of programming, Jonathan Webb, noted, “We
are thrilled to have snapped up one of the most innovative and exciting new
U.S. dramas for 2007, and Day Break will
join Bravo’s already bursting programming stable of quality drama.”
