BVITV Scores Multiyear Volume Movie Deal in India

SINGAPORE, December 1: Indian pay-TV movie channel FILMY,
owned by Sahara One, has entered into a multiyear volume film deal with Buena
Vista International Television-Asia Pacific.

The agreement, a key one for BVITV as it looks to strengthen
its business in the Indian market, gives FILMY subscribers access to titles
like Signs and Shanghai
Knights
, in Hindi, as part of the Hollywood
movie block Firangi Filmy.

Announcing the deal, Steve Macallister, BVITV-AP's senior
vice president and managing director, noted, "India is a key strategic
market for our company and we are looking forward to working closely with FILMY
to provide top quality content that will enthrall their viewers."
