Breakthrough Animation Gets Greenlight for Jimmy Two Shoes

TORONTO, December 5: Breakthrough Animation has received the
go-ahead to begin production on its new children’s series, Jimmy Two Shoes, which will be developed in collaboration with
broadcasters TELETOON Canada and Jetix Europe.

The first season of Jimmy Two Shoes is scheduled to air in early 2009. The series
follows Jimmy, an enthusiastic 14-year-old, along with his sidekick Heloise.
Through a series of missteps the duo falls into the weird world of Miseryville,
where everything is designed to inflict torment onto its inhabitants. Jimmy
stirs up the fun in his new bizarre home, much to the chagrin of Miseryville’s
ruler—Lucius Heinous the Seventh.

Jimmy Two Shoes has
been carefully nurtured throughout the development phase,” said Kevin Gillis,
the executive producer and managing partner of Breakthrough Animation, who made
the announcement. “The show’s unique character relationships set in the
extraordinary world of Miseryville, gear up the potential to be a truly
groundbreaking kid’s property. We are delighted with the creative development
and marketing support that TELETOON Canada and Jetix Europe have given us. Jimmy
Two Shoes
will be given two premium
broadcast platforms that will ensure hours of amusement for unsuspecting
audiences worldwide. Without them we would all be in Miseryville.”
