Bravo Expands Real Housewives Franchise

NEW YORK, June 27:
Following on the success of The Real Housewives of Orange County and its New York City counterpart, Bravo is set to
launch its latest installment in the hit franchise, centered around five women
from Atlanta’s social elite.

The Real Housewives of
Atlanta
will kick off with a
half-hour preview special on July 30 at 12 a.m. The series will look into the
personal and professional lives of DeShawn Snow, whose husband is the captain
of the Cleveland Cavaliers; Kim Zolciak, a single mom who has set her sights on
fame as a country singer; Lisa Wu Hartwell, a busy career woman whose husband
plays in the NFL; NeNe Leakes, an outspoken, active member of Atlanta society;
and Sheree Whitfield, a single mom who works to balance having her own clothing
line and keeping up her busy social calendar. True Entertainment, an Endemol
subsidiary, is producing the series for Bravo.

"Bravo's Real
Housewives
franchise has resonated
with our viewers across the country and we think they will be equally
fascinated by the lavish lifestyles and personalities of these Atlanta
wives," said Frances Berwick, the executive VP and general manager of
Bravo. "They let us peek inside their exclusive, affluent community and
see how they live their often dramatic lives and manage families and careers.
There is truly never a dull day for them."
