Brand Licensing Europe Unveils New TV Lounge

LONDON, September 11: BBC
Worldwide, ITV and Sky have signed up to use the new TV Lounge, which features
high-quality audio visual equipment in an exclusive dedicated area to showcase
properties, at this year’s Brand Licensing Europe.

Richard Hollis, the head
of U.K. licensing at BBC Worldwide, will cover In the Night Garden, Doctor Who and Primeval. The
preschool properties 3rd and Bird
and Harry and Toto will be
presented, with the show’s creators, Josh Selig
and Paul Shuttleworth, also saying a few words.

ITV will present its fresh
new look and lineup for 2008/2009, including new properties Britannia High and The Prisoner, as well as existing brands such as Hell’s
Kitchen
, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Thunderbirds, Dancing
on Ice
, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me
Out of Here!
, the Rank film
catalogue, Bella Sara, Numberjacks
and Pocoyo.

Sky will focus on Braniacs, Gladiators and Are You Smarter than a 10 Ten Year Old?

“Following the success of
the Screening Suite, which we launched in 2006 to a warm welcome from the movie
studios, we wanted to provide the television studios exhibiting at Brand
Licensing Europe with an equally impressive and relevant platform from which to
present their forthcoming properties to an exclusive audience,” said Brand
Licensing Europe’s event director, Jessica Blue.

The TV Lounge will be
situated in the Olympia Room in the front hall just off the main show floor.
Access is by invitation only.
