LONDON: BLE has partnered with The Society of Product Licensors Committed to Excellence (SPLiCE) to present a new series of panel discussions during this year's Licensing Academy.

A trio of panels will focus on anti-counterfeiting (October 13 at 2:15 p.m.), with experts from the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime, World Trademark Review and more; social accountability (October 13 at 3:30 p.m.), featuring Insight Licensing Services; and direct to retail (October 14 at 2:15 p.m.), with such brands as Chupa Chups and PBS. Kimberly Kociencki, the CEO of SPLiCE, will moderate the 45-minute sessions comprising top-level presenters, and will also host a Q&A at the end of each. This will all take place at BLE 2015, which is being held at London's Olympia from October 13 to 15.

Kociencki commented: "For years now we have been sharing best practices in the U.S. It's a significant pleasure to be opening up the floor at BLE and to the European licensing industry."

Darren Brechin, BLE's event director, added: "We are delighted that SPLiCE is bringing such eminent speakers and lively debate to Europe. The topics are new for BLE and we can look forward to top-level discussions that will offer a new level of insight and expertise for our visitors."
