LONDON: Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) is set to redesign the layout for the 2016 event with the addition of new aisles and staircases.

Next year, the event will be held from October 11 to 13, once again at London’s Olympia. In an effort to encourage a free flow of foot traffic across the Character and Entertainment zone on the ground floor, the new layout will feature two central aisles. In addition, several stands in this area will increase in size, including those for Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Products, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Turner Cartoon Network, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Mattel Brands Consumer Products and Hasbro Brand Licensing and Publishing. Also new in 2016 will be the addition of two central staircases leading to the Art, Design and Image, and Brands and Lifestyle areas, with the goal of reducing congestion.

“BLE has always been a very visual event, but next year’s looks set to be phenomenal,” stated Darren Brechin, BLE’s event director. “For a visitor, navigating your way around the show can be daunting. From the minute you walk through the door you are greeted with striking images, displays, vast stands and lots of fellow visitors; we hope that by adding another main aisle it will become easier for visitors to make their way around and find everything they need. For exhibitors, this means more traffic to and from their stands. We hope that all these changes will amplify the visual feast that is BLE.”

More than 150 exhibitors are confirmed for the 2016 event.
