BitTorrent Beefs Up TV Content Offerings

SAN FRANCISCO, July 11: Two months since inking a content
deal with Warner Bros., peer-to-peer file sharing website BitTorrent has added
a further 1,600 titles to its offerings via deals with Hart Sharp Video, Egami
Media (a subsidiary of Image Entertainment), Koch Entertainment and The
Orchard.

Consumers will be able to download video from these content
owners on a subscription video-on-demand and download to own basis when the new
BitTorrent.com service launches in late fall.

"Our goal is to provide our customers the widest
selection of digital content available,” said Ashwin Navin, the president and
co-founder of BitTorrent. “As such, we're excited to be teaming with the
leading entertainment distributors in the world. BitTorrent will be an online
destination where people go to enjoy everything from the Harry Potter series to
Bollywood music videos."

The new content offerings span documentaries, feature-length
and short films, live music concerts, comedy recordings and TV shows. Titles
that will be on offer include Supersize Me,
Charlotte Sometimes, The
Dick Van Dyke Show
, Moody Blues
Live at the Greek
, Kiss: Rock The
Nation: Live!
, and Fangoria Blood
