Big Chain Reaction Strong for 2waytraffic

HILVERSUM: 2waytraffic’s entertainment format Big Chain Reaction notched up successful ratings this summer in Germany and the Netherlands, and has also been picked up in Sweden and Norway.

In Germany on ProSieben that show aired as Kipp-Roll-Fall. The four-hour live event featured 10 teams, each playing a vital role in organizing a chain of events that included everything from a sea lion starting the chain to setting off an avalanche. Kipp-Roll-Fall drew in a total of 2.3 million viewers, an 18-percent share. The Dutch version of show, Kettingreactie, aired on SBS6 in the Netherlands. It was number one in its time slot for all viewers, and tied for first place with Shownieuws as the number one program of the day.

In addition to the ratings successes in Germany and the Netherlands, Big Chain Reaction has also been licensed to Kanal5 in Sweden and TV Norge in Norway, where it will air later this year. The show will be on offer at MIPCOM.

Ed Louwerse, the managing director of 2waytraffic International at Sony Pictures Television, said: “Big Chain Reaction offers a new type of television entertainment that resonates with viewers everywhere. The presence of celebrity hosts, along with many different kinds of people overcoming the odds to achieve physical challenges, makes this show one of the most compelling on TV today and one that all the family can enjoy.”
