Beyond Adds More Big Coat Titles

SYDNEY: Beyond Distribution has added further programming from Big Coat Productions to its catalogue, with two new shows that will be launched at MIPCOM, Love It or List It and Chef Worthy.

In each episode of Love It or List It homeowners decide whether to renovated their current abode or opt for new real estate. The two hosts, realtor David Visentin and designer Hilary Farr, each try to sway the homeowners that they have the right idea about which way to go. Chef Worthy gives two amateur chefs the chance to prove who is the better cook. Under the guidance of master chef Michael Potters, each must first prepare their signature dish in their own home. They will then be put to the test working on the line in top restaurants while trying to pass skills challenges and taste tests. The final challenge takes place in the studio, where each cook must produce their own culinary creation from the mystery ingredients supplied.

Along with the previous acquisition of My Parents’ House, this take Beyond’s total package of programming from Big Coat Productions to more than 60 hours.

Maria Armstrong and Catherine Fogarty, executive producers for Big Coat Productions, commented, "Beyond has provided excellent representation of our Canadian series in the international marketplace. We look forward to continued international success with our exciting new series Love It or List It and Chef Worthy.

Fiona Crago, the general manager of Beyond Distribution, said, “Big Coat are prolific producers who make high-quality, universally appealing factual programming with a heart. We’ve had a great working relationship to date and we are extremely pleased to be entrusted with their two latest major series.”
