Beyond Adds Five Lifetime Thrillers to Catalogue

SYDNEY: Beyond Distribution has taken on the worldwide rights, excluding North America, for five 90-minute Lifetime thrillers, including Ghost Prison and Island Heat: Stranded.

The titles come to Beyond from Dolphin Entertainment through a deal signed between the two companies that also includes the sales of various Nickelodeon series and TV movies for the Asia-Pacific region only. These titles included Zoey 101, Ned’s DeClassified School Survivor Guide, Roxy Hunter movies, Gym Teacher, The Last Day of Summer and Shredderman Rules.

Included in the Lifetime package are Ghost Prison, a supernatural thriller set in an abandoned jail; Island Heat: Stranded, about a bachelorette and her bridesmaids who wind up stranded on a deserted island; and Island Heat: Vanished, about a young couple who are taking a second honeymoon in the tropics, where one of them mysteriously disappears. Also on the roster are Island Heat: Break In, about newlyweds who receive an all-expenses-payed trip to an isolated mansion, and intruders break in and take them hostage, as well as Christmas in Paradise, which sees two families bond while on holiday vacation, resulting in emotional complications.

Christine Perrin, the VP of international sales and marketing for Dolphin Entertainment, said: “Dolphin Entertainment is extremely pleased to have extended these rights to Beyond. We are confident that their savvy sales team and our quality programming are the perfect fit for the continued success of our international sales efforts.”

Munia Kanna-Konsek, the head of sales for Beyond Distribution, commented, “We’re so honored to be given this opportunity by Dolphin Entertainment not only to re-introduce the Lifetime thrillers into the market but also, to have the great teen series and movies that were produced for Nickelodeon in our launch slate for the Asia-Pac region, is very exciting.”
