Beta Film Takes Stake in German Production Company

MUNICH,
January 14: Beta Film has acquired an undisclosed stake in the German TV-movie
production outfit Dreamtool Entertainment, whose credits include The
Charlemagne Code for
RTL.

Beta’s
managing director, Eric Welbers, calls Dreamtool a “young, dynamic venture,”
adding, “Productions such as The Oktoberfest Bombing and The Book of Jesus have a high potential and are very
promising for us.”

Dreamtool
founders Stefan Raiser and Felix Zackor added: “Collaboration with such a
strong partner enables us to continue Dreamtool’s consistent development while
increasingly involving international partners. We complement each other
perfectly.”

Since 1999,
Dreamtool Entertainment has been producing TV movies for all major German
broadcasters, including Shadow Kids, which will be shown on ARD on later this
month.
