LONDON: CBeebies on the Go, a free app for preschoolers from BBC Worldwide, is now available to download from Apple’s App Store across the Asia Pacific.

The app, which was developed by Tag Apps to go with the preschool channel CBeebies, is available for download in in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and South Korea.

The app features matching pairs picture games for Teletubbies and Charlie & Lola, a Kerwhizz jigsaw game and a 3rd & Bird tap-the-fruit challenge. Short video clips from popular shows on the CBeebies channel are also featured.

CBeebies on the Go is a delightful accompaniment to the CBeebies channel,” said Henrietta Hurford-Jones, the director of CBeebies Investment at BBC Worldwide Channels. “Kids all over the world share a natural curiosity and sense of fun, so the app is a wonderful way to make new discoveries with familiar friends.”

Hurford-Jones added: “The CBeebies brand is trusted by parents and carers internationally, so we’ve worked hard to build a product that upholds the core values of learning through play. This new kids’ app is a first for the Channels business, so the learnings from this pilot phase will help shape any future plans to roll CBeebies on the Go out to new territories and different devices.”
