BBC Two Takes On UKTV Food Magazine Series

LONDON, October 17: Optomen has
sold UKTV Food’s Market Kitchen to BBC
Two, with a 20-episode run kicking off on October 20.

Market Kitchen will air on BBC Two seven days after premiering on UKTV Food.
Now in its second season, Market Kitchen
is presented by Matt Tebbutt, Tom Parker Bowles and Matthew Fort, with new
co-hosts Amanda Lamb and Rachel Allen. The show features tips on how to find,
enjoy and cook top-quality seasonal food.

Nicola Moody, Optomen's director
of factual programs, said: “Here at Optomen we’re very proud of Market
Kitchen
so we're thrilled it's going to be
reaching an even wider audience on BBC Two. Market Kitchen is a glorious mix of delicious recipes, great chefs and
fascinating guests, presented by a passionate band of foodies, and we're sure
BBC Two's viewers will love it as much as UKTV Food’s audiences.”

Jane Rogerson, UKTV’s director of
commissioning factual, added: “We are delighted to have a terrestrial window
for Market Kitchen. It is already a
huge hit with UKTV audiences and we believe that this extra exposure will
increase the brand awareness of the show and drive viewers to UKTV Food.”
