BabyFirstTV Expands Reach

ENGLEWOOD/LOS ANGELES, June 14: A month since launching on
DIRECTV, BabyFirstTV, a 24-hour premium channel devoted to babies, toddlers and
their parents, has reached a carriage deal with DISH Network.

The service, which rolled out on DIRECTV last month, will be
available for $9.99 per month. "The monthly cost of BabyFirstTV is lower
than the price of a single baby DVD, making BabyFirstTV a great value to our
customers," said Eric Sahl, the senior VP of programming for DISH Network.
"Subscribers can get hundreds of hours of high-quality programming at a
fraction of the price of buying DVDs with similar content."

The channel aims to provide an interactive experience for
parents and their babies to bond. About 80 percent of its schedule will be
original content. At present, the channel has 43 original shows to offer,
including Rainbow Horse,
Sandman and I Can Sign. It also offers content
from award-winning baby DVD brands such as Brainy Baby, First Impressions, So
Smart and Baby Songs.

BabyFirstTV will also feature on-screen information for
parents, guiding them on words and movements to use with the child while
watching the show. In addition, a color-coded programming guide informs parents
about the show’s content, for example blue for mathematical skills, red for
language skills.
