Azteca Novelas Launches on Liberty Cablevision

MEXICO CITY: TV Azteca’s 24-hour telenovela network Azteca Novelas has scored carriage in Puerto Rico on Liberty Cablevision.

Azteca Novelas will draw from a catalogue of 12 new telenovelas per year, mixing fresh programming with library titles such as El Candidato, Lo Que es el Amor, Un Nuevo Amor and Las Juanas, among others. The channel joined the Liberty Cablevision platform on February 1.

Gabriel Palerm, the VP of marketing for Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico, said, “Puerto Rico has a long and successful tradition with telenovelas and that’s why we believe that Azteca Novelas will have a positive impact with our subscribers. We welcome Azteca Novelas to Liberty’s basic services.”

Marcel Vinay Jr, the CEO of Comarex, TV Azteca’s distribution representative for Azteca Novelas, added, “We are very pleased that Liberty subscribers now have access to our popular telenovelas network.
