AZN Lines Up New Content

CENTENNIAL, January 2: AZN Television, the Comcast-owned
cable network targeting Asian American viewers, has lined up a range of new
series and movies for the first quarter of this year, including the Korean
drama Jumong.

The big-budget historical drama that drew record audiences
in Korea premieres February 20. Other drama highlights for the first quarter of
this year include Handsome Siblings with
Chinese pop star Nicholas Tse and Mars starring Vic Chou and Barbi Xu, both of which premiered on January 1. Drunken
Kung Fu
, a Vietnamese drama starring Hong
Kong actress Anita Yuen, premieres today. Coming in February is the martial
arts drama Seven Swordsmen.

AZN has also acquired the new fashion series Style: Asia, which launches today, and the half-hour weekly
music video series Music Bang,
slated for a January 12 launch.

A new season of the AZN original NBA Timeout will premiere in February. AZN will also premiere
new films, including Japan’s Initial D, Vietnam’s Vertical Ray of the Sun and Korea’s Tae Guk Gi: Brotherhood of War.
