AXN HD Secures Polish Slot

WARSAW: Platform ‘n’ of Poland has added the AXN HD channel to is lineup, through a deal with Sony Entertainment Television and HBO Polska.

AXN HD is home to dramas such as CSI: New York, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds and NCIS. Also airing on the channel is The Amazing Race. AXN HD also features contests themed around Sony theatrical movies, including The Karate Kid and Salt.

Christian Anting, Platform ‘n’’s COO, said: “Monday marks the launch of the second HD channel for Platform ‘n’ this month and increases our number of HD channel offerings to 20—the largest of any DTH platform in Poland. The group of channels distributed by HBO Polska is a source of the best entertainment for our viewers. This valued relationship allows us to respond to and meet the needs of our subscribers, who want quality programming available in HD.”
